  • Now is the time to do so many things we have been waiting to do, and couldn’t due to COVID 19 or other obstacles that got in our way. While the summer months are here, make plans (within your comfort zone and safety), to do either by yourself or with your family.  Now is the time to enjoy the weather, have fun in the sun, go swimming in the ocean or pool (if you have one), ride a bike, take a walk, take a local trip or long distance, eat outside or inside a restaurant, do yoga, meditate, anything that will satisfy the need you have inside yourself to do and truly make you happy.  I have heard that staying inside your home day after day, is really not healthy for us, mentally or physically.  It is essential to get fresh air daily, however you can, even if just 20-30 minutes a day.  Once you do this consistency, your body and mind will notice a difference.  When we are indoors, especially during a lockdown, our body and minds go stale.  We feel weak, tired, lazy, and lack motivation to do anything.

    Given the fact that this time period is quite difficult for all, we can’t give into it.  Now is the time, to fight back our initial instinct, and push through to move forward with positivity in any way we can.  Look at the daily little things that get accomplished by you or a family member that are positive.  When one person smiles or laughs, then another does the same, and it becomes contagious in a positive way. When we think and find everything in the world today as negative, these thoughts will bring you down.  Now is the time to rise up!  Keep finding positive in each day, no matter how small. Get a journal or pad, and jot down 3 positive things that happen each day. Every few days to each week, refer back to what you wrote and reflect. When notice some things that are positive in your life, then you can continue in that fashion for a long time.  It is when we stop doing, and give in to the news, the media, the negativity, etc., this wears us down and keeps us down and out.  It is your choice on how to think, feel, be, and exist.
