Summer came quickly this year and seems to be going even quicker! I love the warm (not humid) weather and sunshine. It seems to make people happy, relax more and enjoy spending time with their partners and families. During COVID, it was a bit more complicated, but we all seemed to manage ok and find time for fun in the sun.
I recently went to a sunflower festival and it brought a big smile to my face! I’ve been wanting to go for many years. There is something about sunflowers. It gives inner strength, beauty, peace, calm, love and happiness. May I suggest you go to a sunflower festival or buy a bunch of sunflowers, keep it near the sun, and watch what it does for you and your family.
What did you do this summer? Did you go to the beach, travel locally or stay home? What is one thing you enjoyed the most this summer? Is there anything else you wanted to do, and didn’t have time to do yet? I suggest to take the time and schedule in whatever you planned on doing and couldn’t. You still have a few more weeks of beautiful weather. Try a new park to take a walk in, or go to a restaurant with outdoor seating. You can also even try a drive in movie if in your area. I remember those long ago. They are fun!
Kids will be going back to school either all or part of the week, and can change as time goes on. This year might be a difficult one for kids to adjust to, especially if having to wear masks, keep a social distance, and follow many more rules. I think it is so important for kids (and adults) to socialize (safely). We are human and require other human connection and contact. Kids need to socialize daily. Adults bi-weekly or weekly. Make it a point to reach out to someone daily (if alone) or weekly to someone else, who lives alone. There is nothing better then to have a chat with a friend or relative either by phone or online during this time period.
